Pearson VUE is an electronic testing company owned by British media company Pearson PLC. Founded in 1994, the company currently operates in over 145 countries with more than 5,100 authorized centres. They offer testing services across a number of industries, from academic, to employment, to government, they are particularly well known for being the official testing agency for the GMAT, Cisco Career Certifications, Oracle CompTIA and the DSA.
We were brought in to help develop a digital signage solution to help enhance the companies presence at over a hundred trade exhibitions that it participated in. Historically this industry had been slow to adopt leading edge digital practices so TDP had to help them practice what they preached to potential customers. The initial brief was to design and deliver a HD DS exhibition promo that highlighted the cutting edge technology that Pearson VUE employed, interspersed with senior management interviews and wrapped in an eye catching 2D and 3d environment. This was a complete end-to-end production for TDP as we were a key element in storyboarding, location shooting, post production and DS delivery. The importance of this project to the Pearson VUE marketing team was to help persuade and educate the senior management team about the value and importance of visual communications and DS capabilities.

We worked very closely with a hungry young marketing team to produce an effective DS solution. Being an end-to-end production we used our experienced video production unit on site at a testing centre in London. Picking through twenty extras, along with some hand picked employees for added realism, this was a challenging shoot and we succeeded with some excellent texture footage. The video unit was also deployed to film senior Pearson management at the company headquarters on the Strand which again delivered some excellent content. We developed the creative direction of the content along with the client and helped to deliver a solution that was extremely well received.
The final DS content solution was premiered at the Learning Technology exhibition in London as a full HD film running on a 100 inch plasma screen. The finished product received fantastic praise from the Pearson VUE management team with comments including,”this is what marketing is about“. The solution has been used in many exhibition environments globally and has even been repackaged with French messaging and subtitles for markets that required it.
